Florida’s Future Leadership Program
Founded in 2019 on the values of leadership, service, and community, the Florida Future Leadership Program aims to empower first-year students with the skills and connections necessary to make a positive impact in their community. The organization, sponsored by Florida Blue Key, assists freshman students with integrating into the numerous opportunities and clubs that the University of Florida and the Gainesville community has to offer.
With guest speakers, professional development workshops, and a mentor/mentee program, all members of FFLP graduate the organization with the skills necessary to be exceptional leaders. Past members have gone on to be on the student government executive board, Gator Growl executive board, Florida Blue Key members, presidents of their individual organizations, and more. In the past, the association has showcased the principle of service through engagement with large organizations such as The Big Event, the Grit Foundation, and the Alachua County Fire Department.
