Rick Alexander | FBKAA Jacksonville President
Rick Alexander is a three-time Gator with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 1986, a Master of Arts in History in 1991, and a Juris Doctorate in 1994. He served the chapter as Divisions Coordinator in 1992 and President in Spring 1993, and was elected to in the University of Florida Hall of Fame in 1994. He served as a prosecutor for the Fourth Judicial Circuit from 1994-1998 before entering private practice. He has been President of the Alexander Law Practice since 2010 where his firm prosecutes negligent security, premises liability and automobile collision cases.
Samantha Sexton | FBKAA Tallahassee President
Before joining UF, Samantha served as the Vice President of Legislative and Regulatory Affairs for the Personal Insurance Federation of Florida, a P&C insurance trade association based in Tallahassee. Her main responsibilities included advocating the association’s interests before the Florida Legislature, Florida Cabinet and executive branch agencies, developing legislative and regulatory strategies to advance the collective priorities, and represents the association in all meetings and hearings. Samantha also served as the Director of Government Affairs for the PACE Center for Girls, Inc. During her tenure with PACE, she expanded PACE’s public sector resources at the local and state level, positioned PACE as the lead advocate for at-risk girls and supported the program’s expansion into Georgia. Samantha has been recognized as a Bob Graham Civic Scholar, ‘30 under 30 Rising Star’ of Florida politics, 2016 Golden A.C.E. by the Tallahassee Network of Young Professionals, and Rising Star in the lobbying industry by INFLUENCE Magazine. She volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Big Bend as a Board Member and Big Sister, Junior League of Tallahassee, Junior Leagues of Florida Statewide Public Affairs Committee (SPAC), and Guardian ad Litem of the 2nd Judicial Circuit. Samantha graduated from the University of Florida with her B.A. and M.A. in Political Science and Certificates in International Relations and Political Campaigning. She remains an active member of Florida Blue Key.
Chris Carmody | FBKAA Orlando President
Chris earned his certification as a Designated Professional Lobbyist from the Florida Association of Professional Lobbyists and is an attorney admitted to practice in all Florida state courts. He has substantial experience handling government relations matters, including representation before the Florida legislative and executive branches, purchasing and procurement appeals, and professional licensing. Chris’s clients range from small cities to Fortune 500 companies, and his experience runs the gamut of state-level needs and issues, from the passing of landmark legislation to proficiency on the appropriations process. Chris also practices in litigation, land use, construction and sports law. His practice includes obtaining state and local government regulatory approvals as well as matters related to the acquisition, development and utilization of real property. He has represented contractors, engineers, architects, developers, owners, subcontractors, and suppliers in issues relating to land use and construction law. Chris provides legal work to the Central Florida Sports Commission and has handled numerous high-level sports matters at the legislative level, including tax exemptions, workers’ compensation and other matters that affect sports franchises.
Jess Johnson | Tampa FBKAA President
Jess graduated from the University of Florida with undergraduate degrees in Finance and Journalism and a Masters degree in Real Estate. Jess lives in Tampa and leads the international real estate tenant representation practice for the Americas region at Savills. He currently serves on the University of Florida Alumni Association Board of Directors, and he was named Outstanding Young Alumnus by the Division of Student Affairs in 2012. While a student, Jess served in several leadership positions including as president of the Student Senate and was involved across campus including as a J. Wayne Reitz Scholar, a 5-year dancer with Dance Marathon, and an active member of Delta Ta Delta Fraternity. He and his wife Katie, who met at UF, have two children.
Sean Quinn | FBKAA NYC President
Sean Quinn is the President of the New York City Florida Blue Key Alumni Association. He currently works as a Digital Strategist at Stand Up America, a progressive advocacy organization dedicated to fighting Trump’s agenda, and has previously worked in digital fundraising at Anne Lewis Strategies in Washington, D.C. Sean graduated from the University of Florida in May 2014 with a B.S. degree in public relations and a B.A. degree in political science. During his time there, he served as the inaugural chairperson of Action SG — the in-house public relations firm of the University of Florida Student Government and also as the Technology Member-at-Large on the Florida Blue Key executive board. In addition to rooting for the Gators, Sean enjoys traveling, live music, all things pop culture and supporting his Mets, Devils, New York Giants, Magic, Chelsea FC and Orlando City SC.
Kyle Rodriguez | FBKAA Atlanta Director
Kyle Rodriguez is a Management Consultant for Accenture, focusing on the strategic transformation of large financial institutions. Outside of work, he is actively engaged in Hispanic and LGBTQ+ organizations throughout Atlanta. Kyle graduated from the University of Florida with his M.S. in Management and his B.S. in Sustainability. While at school, Kyle was Florida Blue Key’s Historian and received the William E. Rion Outstanding Graduate Award. He also sat on three University of Florida Presidential and Joint Committees, was Recreational Manager for UF RecSports, served as the Vice President of Theta Chi Fraternity, and held multiple positions throughout Student Government.
Savannah Bowdoin | FBKAA DC Director
Savannah works for DC-based tech company, WeddingWire, as a senior member of their B2B sales team. Outside of the office, she is involved in the community through the Madison of DC, the Young Nelson Society, and a handful of other young professional organizations. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Tourism, Event and Recreation Management, which focuses on special events and hospitality. On campus, she was a sister of the Delta Zeta Sorority, a Chair, and Senator within the Student Government Senate, as well as an Executive Board member of Florida Blue Key.
