Dave Chauncey is a third year law student from New Port Richey, FL. Dave served on the Florida Blue Key Executive Board as Vice President of Alumni Affairs in Fall 2014, and Executive-At-Large in Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 before being elected as the 159th President of Florida Blue Key. Dave has also served on the Tapping Committee, contributed to Homecoming, and Bylaw Revisions within Florida Blue Key. Prior to law school, Dave graduated in 2010 from the University of Florida with two Bachelors of Science degrees in History and Political Science (specializing in International Relations and Public Administration) and a minor in Mass Communications. He was a brother in Kappa Phi Epsilon Fraternity and led Kappa Phi as President in 2009. Dave also served in various positions on campus and throughout Student Government. After undergrad, he joined Teach For America in 2010 and taught middle school social studies, writing, and reading skills for two years at Ribault Middle School in Jacksonville, FL. During Dave’s tenure at Ribault, 94% of his students passed the FCAT Writing test contributing to the school rising from an F grade to a C grade according to the Florida Department of Education. Dave’s family, friends, and his faith in God are the most important parts of his life and he is a member of Greenhouse Church in Gainesville, FL.
Jessica Kramer | Vice President of MembershipEmail Jessica
Jessica Kramer is a second-year law student born and raised in Miami, Florida. Before becoming the Vice President of Membership, Jessica served Florida Blue Key as a member of both the evaluations committee and bylaws revision committee and as a judge for Florida Blue Key’s Annual Speech and Debate Tournament. In law school, Jessica is a member of the John Marshall Bar Association’s General Board, a mentor at the Caring and Sharing Learning Center, and a member of the Florida Moot Court Team. Jessica recently participated in the 29th Annual Zimmerman Kiser Sutcliffe Moot Court Final Four competition where she was awarded Best Overall Competitor, Best Brief, Best Oralist, and Best Team. In February, Jessica will compete in the American Bar Association’s National Moot Court Competition in Boston, Massachusetts. Before law school, Jessica attended the University of Florida where she earned degrees in both Journalism and Psychology. During her time as an undergraduate student, Jessica held various leadership positions within Homecoming and Gator Growl, University of Florida’s Office of Admissions, Alpha Epsilon Phi, and Student Government. This summer Jessica is working at Bilzin Sumberg in Miami, Florida where she plans to pursue her passion for practicing law.

Paras Saxena is a senior at the University of Florida, majoring in Political Science with minors in Non-Profit Organization & Leadership, and Business Administration. Paras is from Orlando, Florida and was tapped into Florida Blue Key in Fall 2013. In addition to serving as the Vice President of Alumni Association, previously he has served as the Chairman of the FBK Speaker’s Bureau, the Associate Chairman of Forensics for Speaker’s Bureau, as well as Chief Justice of Student Traffic Court. His other activities include Philanthropy Chair and Derby Days Chair for the Sigma Chi Fraternity.

Kelsey Torgerson is a fourth-year Political Science student with minors in Public Leadership and Nonprofit Organizational Leadership. She was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida, but has always been a gator at heart. Kelsey was tapped into Florida Blue Key in Spring 2014. Throughout her four years at the University of Florida, Kelsey has balanced her scholastic achievements while serving in myriad leadership roles on campus, such as the President of the Panhellenic Council, Vice President of Public Relations for the Order of Omega All-Greek Honor Society, three-year Community Events Captain for Dance Marathon at UF, Director of the “Capes For Kids” program at UF Health for the Dream Team, Panhellenic Delegate of Delta Delta Delta, and a handful of assistant directorships for Gator Growl and Homecoming. She is an active member of her sorority, Delta Delta Delta, and the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Additionally, Kelsey’s outside involvement includes volunteering weekly in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit of UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital, interning at UF Health, and running half marathons. Brandon Perdeck is a fourth year Finance major pursuing a Masters In Real Estate beginning Summer 2015 and was tapped into Florida Blue Key in Fall 2013. During his time at the University of Florida, Brandon has served as Vice Chair of Promotions for ACCENT Speakers Bureau as well as two terms as the Treasurer of his fraternity, Alpha Epsilon Pi. He is extremely excited to serve as the Treasurer of Florida Blue Key, Go Gators!

Ali Hassell is a fourth year Business Management student from Tarpon Springs, Florida. Prior to serving as the Divisions Coordinator for Florida Blue Key, Ali was the Executive Director for the 2014 Miss University of Florida Scholarship Pageant, which is an official local pageant within the Miss America Organization. Ali served an Assistant Director for the pageant in 2012 and 2013. Additionally, she was selected to be a member of the Florida Leadership Academy within the Warrington College of Business where she served as the Historian. She has held various positions in Gator Growl , as well as within her sorority, Alpha Delta Pi. Ali continues to be an active member of Alpha Delta Pi, and she currently serves as the Alumnae Relations Chair.

Christopher Dodson is a graduate student at the University of Florida studying Information Systems and Operations Management. Christopher is from Tampa, Florida and also attended UF for his undergraduate studies. In addition to serving as the Chairman of FBK Speaker’s Bureau he is also a Graduate Hall Director for the Department of Housing and has been working on Speaker’s Bureau for four years.
