We Would Like to Introduce you to the Spring 2013 Exec Board:
President:
Dana Somerstein is a third year law student from Ft. Lauderdale, FL. In law school Dana has served on the Law College Council Executive Board, as a competition member of the UF Law Trial Team, as an extern to the UF Vice President and General Counsel’s Office, and Journey of Legends Planning Committee. Prior to entering law school she attended undergrad at the University of Florida earning a BA in Business and a minor in Education. In her undergraduate years, Dana served as the External Affairs Agency Head, as a Florida Cicerone, on the Reitz Union Board of Managers, and as a member of Alpha Epsilon Phi. Dana was tapped into Florida Blue Key in Spring 2008 and has been honored to previously serve the chapter on the Tapping and Evaluations Committees and as a three time Executive Member At Large.
Vice President of Alumni Affairs:
Brock A. Hankins is a second year law student from Daytona Beach, FL. In law school, Brock currently serves as the Executive Communications Editor for the Florida Law Review, the Treasurer of the Law College Council, and on the Governing Board for the John Marshall Bar Association. Prior to law school, Brock graduated from UF with a B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in Economics. As an undergraduate, Brock was a student assistant to the President of UF, President of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, a member of the Stephen C. O’Connell Center Advisory Committee, a member of the Greek Judicial Board in the Dean of Students Office, and a J. Wayne Reitz Scholar. Brock was tapped into Florida Blue Key in Fall of 2007, and has since served as the Director of Finance for Speakers Bureau, Director of Public Relations for Florida Blue Key, and has served on both the Honorary Tapping Committee and the Search Committee.
Vice President of Membership:
Jeremy Magruder is a third year Civil Engineering Ph.D. student from Orlando, Florida. Prior to pursuing her Ph.D., Jeremy graduated from the University of Florida with a M.S. and B.S. in Civil Engineering. While studying at the University of Florida, she has served as the President and Advisor of the National Society of Black Engineers, President of Epsilon Lambda Chi, founding member of the Black Women’s Image Initiative and in various roles within the College of Engineering. Jeremy is also a member of the University of Florida Hall of Fame. She was tapped into Florida Blue Key in the Fall of 2011 and previously served on Florida Blue Key’s Search Committee.
Treasurer:
Samuel Lifton is a senior working towards his combined M.S. in Sport Management from Coral Springs, FL. During his time at the University of Florida, Sam has been actively involved in ACCENT Speakers Bureau where he formerly held the position of Treasurer. Sam has worked as a volunteer for the University of Florida Athletic Association in the Marketing & Promotions department for the past five semesters. He has also served on the executive board of his fraternity, Alpha Epsilon Pi. Sam was tapped into Florida Blue Key in the Spring of 2012.
Secretary:
Brett Owens is a second year JD/MBA candidate from Temple Terrace, Florida. Brett graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Advertising and a M.S. in Management. At the University of Florida, Brett has served as President of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, Associate Producer of Gator Growl and Interfraternity Council Spokesmen. Currently, Brett is President of the Association for Law and Business and Secretary of the Levin College of Law’s Honor Committee. Brett was tapped into Florida Blue Key in the Spring of 2010.
Megan L. Harmon
Gator Growl Producer:
Megan L. Harmon is a fifth year Industrial and Systems Engineering major with minors in Sales Engineering and Business Administration. She is from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and was tapped into Florida Blue Key in Spring 2012.
Megan has served as the Associate Producer of Show and Director of Show for Gator Growl, the Vice President of Administration for Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, Director of Panhellenic Counselors for the Panhellenic Council, an active member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers, and a fourth year Dance Marathon dancer. She is extremely excited and honored to be the 2013 Gator Growl Executive Producer.

Homecoming General Chairman:
Josh Strelzik is a fourth year double Finance and Information Systems & Operations Management major from Pembroke Pines, Florida. During his time at the University of Florida, Josh has been involved in Student Government Cabinet, ACCENT Speakers Bureau, Gator Growl, and Homecoming. He has also served on the executive board of his fraternity, Alpha Epsilon Pi. Within Gator Growl and Homecoming, Josh served as the Director of Web Design in 2011 and Associate Producer of Finance in 2012. Josh was tapped into Florida Blue Key in the Fall of 2011.
Speakers Bureau Chairman:
Olivia is a fourth year Finance major from Deland, FL. During her time at the University of Florida, she has been involved in Enactus, the Florida Leadership Academy, Speaker’s Bureau and her sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha. She has served as an intern for First Lady Michelle Obama, Senator Marco Rubio and Representative Sandy Adams. This is her 7thyear being involved in the Blue Key Speech and Debate tournament, first as a competitor, then on the tournament staff in 2010 and as the Director of Student Congress in 2011. She is excited to serve as the 2013 Florida Blue Key Speakers Bureau Chairwoman and to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the tournament.
Divisions Coordinator:
Ari Bogotch is a fourth year Information Systems and Operations Management major from Boca Raton, Florida. During his time at the University of Florida, Ari has been actively involved in Student Government’s Freshman Leadership Council where he currently holds the position of Chairman. He has also served on the executive board of his fraternity, Zeta Beta Tau. Within FBK Divisions, Ari served as the Sponsorship Director for two consecutive terms. Ari was tapped into Florida Blue Key in the Fall 2011.
O’Connell Society Chairman:
Stephen McLaughlin is a second year masters student pursuing a MS in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences with a specialization in Nonprofit Management from Royal Palm Beach, FL. In graduate school, Stephen has served as the Overall Chairman of Morale for Dance Marathon at UF, University of Florida Foundation Intern, and was a Gator Growl Talent Host. Prior to entering graduate school, he attended undergrad at the University of Florida earning a BS in Mechanical Engineering. In his undergraduate studies, he was a the president of his fraternity, Gator Growl Director of University Sales, Gator Growl talent host, Associate Chairman of the Florida Blue Key Mathematics Tournament, Dance Marathon Morale Captain, and Greek Conduct Committee Member. Stephen was tapped into Florida Blue Key in Fall 2008 and has been honored to previously serve the chapter’s Vice President of Alumni Affairs.
Executive at Large
Brianne Lewis is a second year law student from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Prior to attending law school, Brianne graduated from the University of Florida with a B.A. in Political Science. During her time at the University of Florida, Brianne has held many positions on campus including the Director of Florida Blue Key’s Legal Professions Day, the Director of Creative for Gator Growl 2010, and the Vice President of Administration for Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. Brianne was tapped into Florida Blue Key in Spring 2010 and has served on the Evaluations Committee twice. She has also previously served on Florida Blue Key’s executive board as Vice President of Membership and Divisions Coordinator.
Executive at Large
Bryan graduated the University of Florida in May of 2010 with a B.A. in Political Science and Classical History. Upon graduation, he was named Outstanding Graduating Male Leader by the University Alumni Association. He was accepted to UF’s J.D. and M.S.M. programs and plans to graduate with both degrees in the Spring of 2013. As an undergraduate at the University of Florida, Bryan served as the Chairman of the UF College Republicans for two years. Bryan worked on Gator Growl, the world’s largest student run pep rally, as Director of Public Relations in 2009 and later Spokesman in 2010. In 2009, Bryan was elected President of the Florida chapter of Delta Upsilon Fraternity, which later received recognition as the Chapter of the Year at UF and Most Improved Chapter among the 80+ Delta Upsilon chapters across the nation. Following this, Bryan was then elected to sit on the Delta Upsilon International Board of Directors. Bryan was tapped into UF’s Florida Blue Key leadership honorary society in his junior year. Bryan was elected to serve as Alachua County Soil and Water Supervisor in 2010. At the conclusion of his tenure on the Soil and Water board, Bryan was recognized for outstanding service to the District.
