Civic and University Engagement Chair

The Civic and University Engagement Chair will work closely with the Vice President of External Affairs, the UF Vice President of Government Relations, and the Bob Graham Center for Public Service to communicate with University Relations, assist in leadership conferences, and work throughout the state to strengthen Florida Blue Key’s leadership and public service focus.

Nathalia Ortega is a proud first generation Gator and immigrant, originally from Bogotá, Colombia. She is a graduating senior studying  Political Science with a focus in American foreign policy and Chinese. She has dedicated her time to increasing civic engagement at the University of Florida in her roles as chairwoman for Chomp the Vote and President for Gators for Higher Education. In addition, she has served as a campus ambassador through the Florida Cicerones for the past four years. After graduation, Nathalia plans to work in government affairs at the federal level.
